Linbrooke is seeking to appoint a Civil Engineer with more than 2 years working experience within the industry. Linbrooke is renowned within the signalling and telecommunication engineering fields and are now actively expanding into the civil engineering design and build that are associated with these disciplines.

If your seeking your next opportunity with dynamic and progressive business who are driven by a “can do” approach, we are looking to appoint a Civil Engineer to join our Swindon team. To be successful within this role you need to have the following experience:

 

  • Working hands on with civil engineering aspects of project delivery including feasibility, initial design development, outline and detailed design and site liaison
  • Undertaking outline and detail design, both individually and as part of a wider team, for projects within specified timescales
  • Producing site plans, general arrangements and calculations, using approved engineering techniques, procedures and criteria
  • Preparation of technical and non-technical reports
  • Ensuring the civil design takes account of the environment, buildability and safety requirements
  • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders at an appropriate level to ensure the civil design is communicated effectively
  • Assisting with design support activities during construction
  • Attending project and design team meetings where appropriate
  • Maintaining an awareness of best practice guidelines and emerging technologies
  • Prepare and manage the submission of design packages
  • Developing innovative design solutions to serve and benefit our clients
  • Have gained a strong Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (A Masters being preferred)
  • You’ll be working towards CEng status
  • You will have a working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation and BIM level 2
  • You will have strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • An ability to work well with others as part of a team
  • Temporary works experience
