This enables us to provide a comprehensive service, from design, installation, test, commissioning and integration through to training and resourcing, ensuring exceptional time and cost savings on all our projects.

 

We are seeking a motivated Graduate as a Trainee Design Engineer.

  • Take ownership and responsibility for the completion of technical and engineering tasks associated with a particular project in accordance with agreed quality, budget and timescales constraints.
  •  Ensure that all reasonable care is taken to ensure that work is conducted professionally and safely and in accordance with agreed standards.
  •  Implement processes and procedures described within the Linbrooke Services management system for projects / bids.
  • Support the preparation of technical, cost and programme information to support projects/bids.
  • Support the preparation of bills of quantities / materials requests as necessary.
  • Support in the preparation of simple designs to support projects / bids including spreadsheets jumpering schedules and layout schematics.
  • Assist the HSQE team to ensure due regard is given to safety / quality and environmental issues associated with projects/bids.
  • Assist with test and commissioning activities under instruction from the PICOT.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to use industry standard CAD software to interrogate and manipulate models supplied
  • Well grounded base knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques
  • Understanding of new product introduction tools and techniques
  • Awareness of design evaluation and review techniques
  • IT literate (competent user of MS products e.g. Excel)

Education & Experience

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Good communication skills internally, externally and with all management levels
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally at reasonable notice
  • Highly motivated, positive, flexible, team player
