ROLES RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
You will be keen to learn about the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and performance through to termination. As you progress within your role you will provide remote and in-person HR support including administration, preparing of contracts and policies, HR advice on disciplinary, grievance, absence, restructure and capability procedures, amongst other things, under the guidance of a senior HR professional who will advocate for your learning and development. The People function will be recognised as a professional and crucial department within the business through the hard work of yourself and colleagues.
Scope of the Role
The People function puts the business at ease and allows them to concentrate on running their business, knowing a professional support function is on hand whenever they might need some additional support. Our internal customers have a variety of needs which may be some training and development in absence management, through to queries about holiday pay, or terms of their employment contracts. Every day is varied with plenty of interesting tasks to work though and there will be lots of ongoing learning in order to progress within the role, and the business as we increase in size.
As part of your day to day role, you are responsible for the following;
We believe in trusting employees to get their work done, and this role can be undertaken in line with our hybrid working policy. This means that a normal week will involve being partially home-based and partially office-based (3 days per week, as agreed with your manager) so the successful applicant will need to be able to work autonomously and receive remote support, with connectivity and a suitable workspace available at home. On occasions, for training or if there are one-off issues, you may be required to work additional days in the office to ensure these activities are completed.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
All employees must be able to speak the English language with fluency with good oral and written skills. Fluency relates to a person's language proficiency and their ability to speak with confidence and accuracy, using accurate sentence structures and vocabulary. For those whose first language is a signed language, all reasonable adjustments will be made.
