Our Telecoms and E&P group have a proven record for project delivery from large to small multi/single discipline projects, providing engineering support and assurance on numerous regional and national rail frameworks throughout the UK. Working with the Head of Project Engineering, we have a team of experienced, flexible and multiskilled engineers with the right-first-time approach to delivery on an exciting and challenging portfolio.

To meet increased industry demands, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic Project Engineering Division.
You will ensure the successful and safe delivery of engineering projects, acting as a lead point of contact for all engineering functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to communicate confidently and effectively as they will liaise with project managers and clients to establish project requirements.

You will support and encourage creativity and innovation within the engineering team whilst identifying potential changes and overseeing process Improvements within the engineering function. Undertaking the role as CRE, you will lead and coordinate the engineering functions within the project team, you will ensure the successful and safe delivery of projects.

You will take responsibility for ensuring site diaries are collated and all issues are reported and recorded correctly. Identifying project risks and hazards, you will produce relevant risk assessments to ensure risk is brought down to an acceptable level.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will undertake safety and quality inspections and ensure any project-specific requirements are submitted and managed correctly.

This role provides a fantastic opportunity to lead by example, supporting and mentoring junior members of the engineering team. A successful candidate will act in accordance with the requirements of Linbrooke Services HSEQ policies and the Health & Safety at Work Act are adhered to and encouraged at all times.



  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work as a team member with organisational and time management skills
  • IT literate – Microsoft Office including CAD software such as AutoCAD, Visio, MicroStation J.
  • Driving license
  • Thorough knowledge of aspects of project engineering as applied to appropriate railway discipline.
  • Good commercial Awareness/ Programme Management
  • Ability to act as a lead project engineer on single/multidiscipline schemes
  • Professionally accredited in an appropriate discipline


  • 5-8 years’ experience in project engineering
  • HNC/ONC level
  • Incorporated Engineer/Engineering Technician

Fluency relates to a person's language proficiency and their ability to speak with confidence and accuracy, using accurate sentence structures and vocabulary.
