Linbrooke were selected to refurbish many of Zayo European Network core sites, including modular Inline Amplifiers (ILAs) & to upgrade buildings housing Cable Landing Stations/Data Centres across the UK & Europe.

The project forms the first of a number of planned phases delivered by Linbrooke over the next few years.
The Facility
Linbrooke were appointed to refurbish an ILA site in Lowestoft, UK - a Cable Landing Station for Circe North, a 96 fibre system. [any involvement with ZEUS?] The site was built in 1999, with most of the critical infrastructure reaching the end of its technical life.
Highlights
Linbrooke delivered this project on schedule and within the agreed budget:
• Front End – Main electrical intake panel maintenance / auto-transfer switch (ATS) enhancement • Generator refurbishment, replacement battery charging systems & analyse fuel system. • 48V DC Plant replacement. Removal of life expired Nortel Helios plant with diverse Eaton rectifiers. • Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) replaced with with three 26Kw Stulz split systems • New fire detection, Vesda & FM200 gas suppression systems. • New access control system & replaced/refurbish physical security components. • New intruder detection system. • New CCTV installation – 14 cameras internal & external. Minimum 30-day NVR image storage. • On-site & remote monitoring integration. All critical plants are connected to the telemetry platform. • Lightning protection testing. • 100% Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR). • Decorating damaged areas. • Full site deep clean. • Record data & documentation.
