Bromsgrove Corridor Resignalling

Customer Objective

To successfully provide improved headways and immunisation for the forthcoming 25kV overhead electrification between Barnt Green and the new Bromsgrove Station.

Linbrooke Project Scope

Rationalising the track layout at the new Bromsgrove Station to accommodate turnback facilities and

enable the provision of a new station building, Linbrooke provided GRIP 5-8 of all telecoms related
works, which included:

Network (FTNX) infrastructure to trackside Cisco IE2000 Ethernet switches
(via a Cisco ASR903 aggregate layer)
• 3 new IP Trade HMIs for Kings Norton, Bromsgrove and the SSM
• 66 new Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephone circuits
• 3 PETS systems and associated Text Alarm Display Unit (TADU)
• 7 user worked crossings
• New circuits for Oddingley OD crossing

Installation, test and commission of:

• 30 new NR direct dial Telephones (ETD)
to Principal Supply Points (PSP’s) and Auxiliary Supply Points (ASP’s)
• 40 new signalling circuits, including Solid State Interlockings (SSI)
