On a memorable Thursday evening, September 12th, 2024, Linbrooke proudly received the prestigious Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Silver Award. The black-tie event, set against the grand backdrop of York Racecourse, was a distinguished occasion.

The ceremony, hosted by the Reserve Forces and Cadets Association for Yorkshire and the Humber, celebrated the dedication and support of organisations towards the Defence and Armed Forces community. The event was attended by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenants of Yorkshire and Air Commodore Adam Sansom, Air Officer North of England.

Linbrooke was among 32 organisations from Yorkshire and the Humber that gathered to demonstrate their commitment to supporting Reservists, Service Leavers, Veterans, and their Families. Molly BaileyLucy Burrows, and Zivile Johnson MCIM accepted the ERS Silver Award on behalf of Linbrooke from His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, Professor Dame Hilary Chapman DBE. The evening was expertly compered by Regional Employer Engagement Directors, Richard Henton and Pauline King.

Throughout the evening, attendees were inspired by speeches that highlighted the significant contributions of Reservists and the benefits they bring to their civilian workplaces.

This achievement underscores Linbrooke’s dedication to aligning with the values of the Armed Forces Covenant and supporting the Defence and Armed Forces community.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Lucy Burrows, Hannah Wilson, Jason Garside CertRP, David Binnie, and Kevin Smith CNIT for their outstanding contributions, which were pivotal in achieving this prestigious award.

A special mention goes to Pauline King for her unwavering support in our application process, and to Phil Walton (Assoc CIPD) for orchestrating such a fantastic evening.
