Linbrooke welcomes Adam Cousins

Following Linbrooke’s recent successes in securing several projects and maintenance contract works with a number of Train Operating Companies (TOC) such as Great Western Rail (GWR), TransPennine Express and Arriva Rail North (ARN), we are delighted to welcome Adam Cousins to the Linbrooke family bringing further depth and breadth to our service offering.

Adam started his career with Arriva Rail Northern in 2002 and has worked in the Rail industry for over 16 years, Adam has joined Linbrooke Services Ltd as Rail Business Development Manager.

With knowledge and experience across all railway communications and customer information platforms, Adam has been instrumental in developing the Passenger Information During Disruption (PIDD) strategy for Northern Rail and securing third-party funding from local authorities and Network Rail to deliver customer information projects to improve the overall customer experience whilst traveling on the railway. Adam specialises in the design & implementation of Customer Information (CIS), CCTV and Long Line Public Address (LLPA) systems and developing strategies for the improvement of customer service processes and the delivery of projects,

The Rail industry has been Adams passion for the past 16 years and throughout his time within the industry, he has managed several large station and control teams and has worked for Serco/Abellio’s Northern franchise in the York & Manchester Control Centres. Working firstly as a Train Service Controller managing the minute to minute/hour by hour train operations and disruption and then as the Control Communication Manager delivering customer service and information improvement projects whilst developing information improvement plans and strategy which have since been adopted by the wider industry.

Adam left the TOC world to join KeTech as Business Development Manager in 2015. Whilst at KeTech Adam used his knowledge of the TOC’s structures, processes and working practices to secure several lucrative on train and on station information system contracts. This experience, working outside of the TOC world, has enabled Adam to gain an unprecedented understanding of stakeholder communication requirements working with companies such as Network Rail, Irish Rail, GWR, Northern Rail, Scot Rail, ATOC and the Rolling Stock Owning Companies (ROSCOs).

Utilising his fresh perspective and views on how to continue adding value to Linbrooke’s offering, Adam will continue to develop our relationships with TOC’s to further the ongoing delivery support and work with equipment suppliers to ensure that Linbrooke are offering the most up to date technology to our clients and the industry. With his railway background, considerable industry knowledge and capabilities in communication systems, Adam is a great fit for Linbrooke.

As well as downhill mountain biking, Adam’s main passions are his family, music and football. Before starting his career in the rail industry Adam studied for a degree in Music & Audio production at Huddersfield University leaving in 2001. In his spare time, Adam continues to play in bands and records and manages local musicians and tries to follow his beloved Leeds United when possible.
