Throughout August, the Motherwell Project Telecoms Team have been busy successfully entering into service ten new IP-Trade T4 Turret Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and Cisco fallback telephones onto the existing Scotland Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Concentrator System for Motherwell SC Panel 6 and West of Scotland Signalling Centre (WSSC) workstations.
As part of the final stages of the Motherwell North Signalling Renewals Project, this represents a complex piece of engineering work, which has included the transfer of almost 1000 analogue telephone circuits to the new concentrator platform from legacy HiPath PABX systems.
Collaborating effectively with the NRT team at Edinburgh, where the existing CUCM concentrator system was configured and tested with the new circuits by our expert engineering team earlier in the year, Linbrooke has provided all telecoms installation and testing works for the project, this included the deployment of the new HMI equipment at Motherwell SC and the WSSC and clusters of new Cisco VG350 voice gateways at core sites, which were integrated into the existing FTNx network by our expert team.
A huge thanks go to the Linbrooke project team for all their hard work and dedication. Very well done!
