The retraining of TATA steelworkers

In line with Linbrooke and ntrs’ desire to train the nation and integrate parallel skills into both the rail and utilities industries, 6 former TATA steelworkers, made redundant by circumstance, are currently spending 8 weeks at our NTA. Incorporating the 6 week telecoms course, additional track induction, Personal Track Safety (PTS) and work experience, the candidates will become qualified and operational telecoms engineers. Former Steelworker John Wharton stated that “The transition is hard but worth it. The facility is first class and the trainers are exceptional – we are all grateful for this opportunity.”
