Wembley Turn Back Sidings Extension

Due to the Government High Level Output Specification (HLOS) report published in July 2012, a requirement for an increase of passenger capacity on the London to Marylebone route was identified. This indicated the need for the turn back sidings extension to accommodate the subsequent 9 car trains as opposed to the original 6. In order to facilitate the new, longer trains, Linbrooke successfully elongated the turn back sidings to provide 247 meters of length, with consequent alterations to the signalling and control systems.
