Ben Lynch Appointed As Director of Rail

Our executive board is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Lynch as Director of Rail at Linbrooke Services Ltd.

Ben will build on our strong track record of partnership development with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and deliver further growth within the rail sector by expanding our client portfolio with a strong focus on building on Workbank within existing frameworks and leveraging his influence with our client Network Rail to win infrastructure delivery contracts for Control Period 7 (CP7).

Ben joined Linbrooke as Business Strategy Director, where he had the opportunity to learn the business from the inside out. Initially, Ben engaged with Linbrooke as a client working on Ferriby to Gilberdyke re-signalling project Linbrooke commissioned in 2018. This gives Ben a strong understanding of the business from a client's perspective.

Before joining Linbrooke in 2021, Ben held multiple senior positions with Network Rail delivering multi-million multi-disciplinary projects across the UK's rail network.

Ben said: ‘Linbrooke is a business that stands out from the rest and has always been a leader in the supply chain when it came to delivery and doing things differently.  I learnt very quickly that Linbrooke’s biggest and best asset is its people, and since joining the company in December 2021, I’ve seen that to be the case first-hand.

I’m proud to be taking up this position and consider it to be an honour.  Martin managed the business through a time of rapid growth, and I now need to ensure the business is fit for CP7 and everything that it brings with it.  I intend to get around the business to talk to you about our plans and strategy for the future.’

Discussing Ben’s appointment, Will Wilson, Linbrooke Chief Executive Officer, said: “It was a natural decision to appoint Ben as Director of Rail to lead business growth and development in the transport sector. The board have held extensive and constructive discussions with him and the Linbrooke team, and I believe that Ben's experience from a client's side will be of value to Linbrooke as we continue to drive the performance of our business. We look forward to working closely together to create long-term sustainable value for our shareholders and wider stakeholders."
